Keolis Porte de l'Isère operates the Réseau Ruban on behalf of CAPI, the Porte de l'Isère urban community. It deployed Pysae AVM (SAEIV) on the network's 55 urban vehicles and cut monthly reporting from 2 days to 15 minutes.
The authority wanted to speed up its digital shift to make the transport network more attractive, in line with a fast-growing area. Pysae supported us effectively despite the project's complexity, meeting our expectations precisely.
A network between Lyon, Grenoble and Chambéry
CAPI sits in northern Isère, between the three metropolitan areas of Lyon, Grenoble and Chambéry. It covers three main urban centres: Bourgoin-Jallieu, Villefontaine and L'Isle-d'Abeau.
Why did Réseau Ruban need a new AVM?
- Modernisation: replace a barely digitised tracking system with an ergonomic tool
- Real-time passenger information, a contractual commitment of CAPI, delivered through mobile apps and the network website
- Supervision and reporting: let dispatchers generate reports automatically in minutes instead of days
Driver app, live tracking and automated AVM reports
Pysae deployed its full solution on the 55 urban vehicles of the network:
- Driver app: early and late running shown on every trip, GPS guidance and built-in messaging
- Real-time tracking: location of every vehicle and live trip status
- Trip replay: review how a specific trip ran after the fact
- Automated reporting: commercial speed and punctuality reports in a few clicks
- GTFS-RT feed: real-time passenger information in the Ruban app and website
Results: 2 days saved every month per dispatcher
Automated reporting saves each dispatcher 2 working days a month. Drivers are more satisfied thanks to a modern, intuitive interface, and real-time passenger information is stronger.
- 2 days saved per month per dispatcher
- 15 minutes to produce a report
- 55 urban vehicles equipped
